Black and white has always been the foremost direction in his photography,
concentrating on landscapes and cityscapes. However, occasionally, the color cannot
be denied.
The images he has captured are from around the country and the world. These are
places, people and things found and enjoyed as they are, not arranged or manipulated.
The images are intended to take the viewer to a time or place so that they may share
the enjoyment. Come and visit…
His long standing interest in photography started even before college at Purdue
University. Then it became a passion while stationed in northern Italy with the Army.
As owner and operator of a photo studio and processing lab, Black & White Specialties,
for 20+ years he continued to refine his skills. For the last 15 years he has been a
fixture at many of the Kansas City region’s art shows and galleries.
The photographs originate as digital images then are adjusted in the computer with
similar intent to what one would do in the darkroom. The final products are typically
pigment prints on rag paper.
